Nickie Aiken MP & Trudy Harrison MP

Nickie Aiken, MP for the Cities of London & Westminster caught up with Trudy Harrison MP, Minister for Transport, to continue making the case to enhance e-scooter safety.

Many of you have been in touch with Nickie to share experiences of e-scooters, and how they continue to ride on the pavements, travel at speeds and are so quiet that they cannot be heard until they are next to you.

Nickie is campaigning for sensible regulations which protects pedestrians and ensures that e-scooter drivers are safe and responsible.

Critically, the only e-scooters permitted on the street are those you can rent which are part of the Government-backed pilot schemes, and Nickie believes shops must do more to make customers aware of this.

Nickie was pleased to take your views straight to Government, and she is looking forward to working with Trudy to enhance regulations with views from people across the Cities of London & Westminster in mind.
