Local MP joins Chancellor in encouraging shoppers to return as restrictions are lifted

Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster visited the West End this morning with the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak to encourage people back to the shops.

Non-essential shops reopened today across England following the country’s second national lockdown.

The retail sector has been one of the worst affected by COVID across the UK. It is a major employer within the Two Cities providing thousands of jobs for both people who live locally and further afield.
